NEW LOCATION COMING AUGUST 2025!
Thanks for visiting Nan’s Closet! We are currently closed as we prepare to move to our NEW LOCATION. For the past 20 years, Nan’s has served Detroit and the surrounding communities from a tiny white house on First St. SE in Detroit, Texas, and during that time has given away over a quarter of a million dollars ($250,000.00) to local organizations, such as schools, fire departments, other area churches for specific needs like summer camp scholarships, family council organizations of local long-term care facilities, and many more. What Mrs. Charlotte Phifer started as a tiny church volunteer-staffed thrift shop has now grown into a major Red River County Non-Profit.
In order to better serve you, Nan’s is moving to a NEW LOCATION at 155 W. Garner St., Detroit, Texas. This is the large “bank” building in the center of the Garner Street frontage road with the big white columns. We are currently renovating the new space with a projected opening date of August 1st, 2025. WE APOLOGIZE THAT WE ARE NOT ABLE TO ACCEPT ANY DONATIONS until we re-open. Thank you for your patience!
